Overview
All applicants to the undergraduate or graduate study programmes at UOD whose English language proficiency is lower than IELTS 5.5/CEFR B2 can apply for our Preparatory Year Program in English as a Foreign Language.
Duration of preparatory studies: 2-semesters
Tuition Fee: 4100 Euro (3950 Euro tuition fee for 1 academic year + 150 Euro for course material)
The main objective of the Preparatory Year Programme is to prepare students for their English language studies on the chosen academic programmes by:
- raising their level of English proficiency towards the IELTS 5.5/CEFR B2 level,
- providing them with academic, reading, writing, speaking, listening skills, and basic research skills
- introducing them to the Hungarian culture and language,
- providing an international study environment,
- familiarizing them with the study rules and everyday campus life at UOD.
After successful compleation of the Preparatory Year, students can continue their studies at the chosen bachelor program.

Programme structure
During their studies students are required to take up to 180 credits, after the first and second semester (preparotory year) each semester totaling 30 credits. In the final semester students are required to do an internship and write their thesis.
Career opportunities
Communication is the global challenge of the third millenium. The prospects after graduation are excellent and include a wide-range of professions: editor or director of radio and television programs, journalist, web designer, media technician, manager or coworker of PR or Marketing department, etc.
